Game Development

Game Development

I am currently developing a story-telling and strategy board game aimed at improving parent-child interaction.
It is designed based on my Taitonmai Camp in Thailand with a basis in motivation and learning theories.

world of winks

The game is a fantasy world treasure hunt where the objective is for each player to collect magical items, called “winks”, in which they are able to trade for resources to build a ship, and hence, able to acquire the pirate’s treasure. However, as they journey through the land, they may encounter comets, which may bring them fortune or disaster! The first person to collect enough “wink” cards to trade for all the pieces of a ship, assemble it and head out to the Tiki Tiki Hut first wins.

STORYBOOK

The game will also come with a storybook of the land, which is used as an introduction into the game. The rules of how to play the game is integrated into the book, rather than an instruction manual.

parent’s guide

The concept of this game is to turn parents into “game masters”. There will be a guide that is in the form of a partition screen, which includes tips on how to customize and adjust game difficulty according to the children playing and suggestions of how to make the game more engaging.
